This Months Slam will be hosted by Jacob Ward from Eat The Worm Records.
Featuring Riis Larsen.
Riis Harlan Larsen was born on October 22, 1988 at 4:20 am after 26 hours of labor in Redwood City, California. Since then, he's been stirring up trouble in whichever neighborhood he calls local. Originally a Santa Rosa native, he was transplanted by his parents to Lake County at the age of five with the arrival of his younger brother, Dane. The family sought a small, peaceful, gated community called Hidden Valley where they could raise their children away from the bustle of Sonoma County. They thought wrong!
After enduring a grueling divorce, exposing himself to the drug-riddled underbelly of Lake County, and being steeped in the twisted, hick-driven thought patterns of rural America, the adult Riis reemerged onto the Sonoma County scene to speak his mind and reel in the repercussions. With a scarred sense of sanctity, an insatiable appetite for the abstract, and a fierce conviction to proclaim the truth, Riis performs pieces that not only offer a glimpse at the grand possibilities of the human experiment, but an unforgiving rake through the thickest muck of reality's ruts.
